Payroll Technician
Location: Stockport - Fully Onsite
Salary: £26,000–£29,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
- Calculate PAYE, National Insurance and other payroll deductions.
- Complete weekly payroll reconciliations alongside the Finance team.
- Handle payroll queries and liaise directly with clients regarding timesheets, assignments, and deadlines.
- Work to strict payroll deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
- Keep up to date with UK payroll legislation and support wider team projects.

- At least 1 year of payroll experience.
- Good understanding of UK payroll, PAYE, and National Insurance.
- Umbrella payroll experience is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Confident dealing directly with clients.
- CIPP qualified or working towards a qualification would be advantageous.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and keen to develop a long-term career in payroll.
