Job Opportunity: Payroll Adviser

Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Adviser to join the team based in Kirkby-In-Ashfield - Council Offices. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,598 - £33,699 per annum (pay award pending).

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Adviser to play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll service across Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils. In this role, you will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert payroll advice and guidance
  • Resolve complex payroll queries

Qualifications and Skills

  • Hold a Level 3 Payroll qualification, or a Level 2 qualification with substantial payroll experience
  • Possess strong numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
