About the Role
Do you have payroll experience and a passion for getting the details right? Are you the person colleagues turn to when they need advice and support? Do you enjoy improving processes and delivering excellent customer service?
Here at GXO we're looking for a Payroll Advisor to join our busy payroll team in Avonmouth. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services, ensuring employees are paid correctly and in line with company policies and payroll legislation. You'll become a trusted point of contact for payroll-related queries, working closely with employees, managers, and stakeholders to provide a high-quality service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, customer service, and continuous improvement are key.
This is a full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 at our Amazon site in Avonmouth.

- Salary: up to £32,000.00 per annum

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Process weekly and/or monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Manage payroll administration, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, and absence-related payments
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries from employees and managers
- Complete payroll reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
- Support payroll process improvements, system updates, and year-end activities
What You Need to Succeed at GXO
- Previous payroll administration or payroll processing experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and data
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and organizational skills
