If you have solid payroll experience, and you're ready for more responsibility, advising clients directly, mentoring junior colleagues, and tackling the genuinely complex tasks, this is a strong next step.
You'll join a well-established professional services firm's Enterprise payroll team, working with bureau-style, multi-client payroll at a more senior, advisory level.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Advising clients directly on payroll and compliance matters
- Processing and reviewing complex payrolls, researching solutions to technical issues
- Managing workflow and delegating across the team, supporting junior colleagues day-to-day
- Reviewing junior colleagues' work and giving feedback that actually helps them grow
- Building genuine client relationships and spotting where the firm can add more value
- Staying up to date on payroll legislation changes and helping implement process updates
- Reviewing payment runs, contributing to monthly control/audit reviews, and testing software updates

Requirements
Requirements for this role:
- A relevant professional qualification (Higher/A-Level minimum)
- Around 3–4 years' payroll experience, ideally in a client-facing/advisory role
- Bureau experience (multi-client payroll)
- Experience managing a client portfolio to tight deadlines
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (beneficial)
- Technical compliance/advisory experience (beneficial)
- Confidence with Microsoft Office and payroll software
