About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team at Bilfinger Berger SE. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll comprehensively across multiple contracts and sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. Your expertise will support our operational excellence by delivering timely and precise payroll services, managing employee payments, and maintaining clear communication with internal departments and external agencies. Qualifications
- Proven payroll experience in a fast-paced, multi-site, and multi-contract environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
- Up-to-date understanding of payroll and pension legislation, including statutory and occupational payments.
- Familiarity with HMRC reporting requirements, including benefits in kind.
- Recognized CIPP payroll qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external agencies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll from start to finish across multiple contracts and locations within designated timeframes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Administer pay in accordance with various pay agreements, including processing new starters, leavers, and applicable termination payments.
- Calculate redundancy, notice payments, and statutory benefits such as SMP, SPP, SSP, occupational maternity pay, and sick benefits.
- Generate reports for different departments to support financial and operational decision-making.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless communication and timely processing of payroll activities.
- Engage with third-party providers such as pension schemes, HMRC, and courts to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain comprehensive records and filing systems to ensure data integrity and ease of access.
- Stay updated with the latest payroll and pension legislation, implementing necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Enforce adherence to payroll policies, processes, and internal controls to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
