Payroll Advisor

Location: Warrington (Hybrid)
Job Type: Permanent

Our Engineering client is looking for a Payroll Advisor to join a leading international industrial services provider for Energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and oil & gas clients. With 30,000+ employees worldwide and €5bn+ revenue in 2024.

The Role

As a Payroll Advisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely payroll across multiple contracts in a fast-paced environment, while providing excellent service to stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll end to end across multiple contracts within strict deadlines
  • Applying a variety of pay agreements accurately
  • Setting up and processing new starters and leavers
  • Calculating redundancy, notice, statutory and occupational payments (SMP, SSP, SPP, OMP, Sick Benefit, etc.)
  • Producing payroll reports for internal departments
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure clear communication and timely delivery
  • Managing relationships with external bodies including HMRC, pension providers, and courts
  • Keeping up to date with payroll and pension legislation

Qualifications

  • Proven payroll experience in a fast-paced, multisite, multicontract environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of payroll, pension legislation, and HMRC reporting (including benefits in kind).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel capability
  • A CIPP payroll qualification is desirable but not essential.
