Payroll Advisor (FTC) - Start Date 7th September
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 35 hour

Please note: Due to the urgency of the role, we are looking for candidates that can interview this week and can start on Monday 7th September

The Payroll Advisor at Just provides key support to the People Operations team and Payroll Manager. The role will advise and support managers and employees on all payroll related matters ensuring the prompt and accurate payment of employees in line with HMRC regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As the Payroll Advisor, you will be responsible for processing payroll and benefits on a monthly basis, ensuring an efficient and effective payroll service is provided, including:

  • Maintain monthly payroll, including collating data for starters, leavers, employee benefits and salary sacrifice.
  • Accurately processing and checking of payroll related data in Workday.
  • Administration of absence & statutory periods of leave.
  • Manage and conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy of payroll database.
  • Administration of the Groups Pension Scheme & auto enrolment compliance, ensuring accurate deductions & payments are made.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to 3rd party providers.
  • Provide a high level of service to employees and managers regarding payroll and benefit queries where appropriate
  • Completion of all payroll & benefit reconciliations.
  • Process Save As Your Earn (SAYE) changes
  • Process monthly 3rd party payments
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify areas where improvements/efficiencies can be made to processes.
  • Assist with tax year-end in line with HMRC reporting requirements, including P60’s and P11D’s.

  • Strong payroll knowledge preferably including Workday
  • Well organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
