Payroll Specialist
Permanent | Full Time📍 Warrington | 🏡 Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)💰 £30,000 - £33,000 + Benefits
An established international organisation is looking to appoint a Payroll Specialist to join its busy payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is looking to further develop their career within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll from start to finish across multiple contracts within agreed timescales
- Ensure employees are paid accurately and in line with varying pay agreements
- Process new starters, leavers, and contractual changes
- Calculate redundancy, notice, and termination payments
- Administer statutory and occupational payments including SSP, SMP, and SPP
- Produce payroll reports and information for departments across the business
- Liaise with HMRC, pension providers, and other third parties
- Respond to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation and internal processes
- Support compliance with payroll policies and procedures

About You
- Previous payroll experience within a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- End-to-end payroll processing experience
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong understanding of payroll and pension legislation
- Knowledge of HMRC reporting requirements, including Benefits in Kind
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
