Payroll Specialist

Permanent | Full Time📍 Warrington | 🏡 Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)💰 £30,000 - £33,000 + Benefits

An established international organisation is looking to appoint a Payroll Specialist to join its busy payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is looking to further develop their career within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll from start to finish across multiple contracts within agreed timescales
  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and in line with varying pay agreements
  • Process new starters, leavers, and contractual changes
  • Calculate redundancy, notice, and termination payments
  • Administer statutory and occupational payments including SSP, SMP, and SPP
  • Produce payroll reports and information for departments across the business
  • Liaise with HMRC, pension providers, and other third parties
  • Respond to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
  • Keep up to date with payroll legislation and internal processes
  • Support compliance with payroll policies and procedures

About You

  • Previous payroll experience within a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • End-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of payroll and pension legislation
  • Knowledge of HMRC reporting requirements, including Benefits in Kind
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • CIPP qualification desirable but not essential
