Overview
For over 45 years, Mamas & Papas has supported parents from our Huddersfield roots to stores and concessions across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Today, 1,200+ colleagues bring our much-loved baby brand to life, including 300+ at our Huddersfield head office.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead payroll, benefits, pensions and employment tax compliance, creating an accurate, reassuring colleague experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll own the end-to-end payroll, benefits and pensions cycle, ensuring colleagues are paid accurately, on time and compliantly.
- Lead payroll operations, provider management, controls, reconciliations, reporting and audit readiness.
- Manage PAYE, NI, statutory payments, PSA, P11D, benefits taxation and HMRC submissions.
- Oversee pensions, auto-enrolment, salary exchange, deductions and provider submissions.
- Manage core benefits including medical, life assurance, pension, EV, cycle to work and wellbeing schemes.
- Support confidential colleague queries while improving payroll, benefits and pension processes.
What You’ll Bring As Pay & Benefits Manager
- Strong payroll management experience, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site or retail business.
- Excellent UK payroll, PAYE, pensions, PSA, P11D and employment tax knowledge.
- Advanced Excel, strong analysis skills and confidence using payroll and HR systems.
- Clear communication, stakeholder management and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of the PeopleXD system (and HRIS system part of Access Group) being more than desirable.
