About the Role
We are recruiting for an accountancy firm based in the Crieff area. They have an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join a warm, friendly, and supportive team.
Hybrid working, 4 days onsite, 1 day work from home. Possible flexibility for start/finish times.
You must currently live in reasonable travel distance to the office location and hold the right to work in the UK. We regret that applications which do not meet these criteria won't be progressed.
You will have 3 years' + experience of running and managing all aspects of payroll, ideally from an accountancy Practice experience. If you are CIPP qualified, or studying towards qualification, that is a definite advantage.

The Role
Supporting a range of SMB clients with all aspects of PAYE and Director's payroll, including:
- adding new starters
- issuing P45s to leavers
- issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them
- accurate calculation of hourly paid payroll
- monthly salary payroll
- directors' payroll
- statutory deductions
- process pensions, SSP, SMP, and holiday pay
- managing payroll queries with clients and employees
- managing HMRC queries
- maintaining bank account details
- reconcile payroll reports and produce reports for clients and business managers
- support payroll audits, testing, and system enhancements where required
- assist with periodic payroll audits
- use of Sage, Xero, and Excel

Salary
£30,000 - 35,000 + bonus potential + generous pensions + Paid study support (if relevant) + benefits + free parking
