There is flexibility to work in any of our seven office locations, Dundee, Perth, Brechin, Forfar, Montrose, Blairgowrie and Kinross. The Opportunity

As a Payroll Assistant, you'll be an important part of our payroll team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, efficiently and on time. You'll build strong client relationships, provide day-to-day payroll support and play a key role in delivering a high-quality service. What You'll Be Doing

As our Payroll Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing payrolls accurately and on time across a variety of pay frequencies, including weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Collecting, validating and exchanging payroll data, ensuring employee information is maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Supporting pension administration and ensuring compliance with HMRC, Auto Enrolment and payroll legislation requirements.
  • Providing excellent client service by responding to payroll queries and offering timely support and guidance.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the payroll team to ensure deadlines are met and service standards are maintained.
  • Taking ownership of assigned payrolls, managing your workload effectively and maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within a payroll bureau or accountancy practice.
  • Experience processing weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Experience using BrightPay payroll software.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service.
