About the Role

Our client is a well-established name in the commercial vehicle sector, known for engineering excellence and reliability. They offer a stable, professional environment with genuine progression opportunities within their payroll and finance function.

To provide an effective and efficient payroll service to the company and its subsidiaries and associated companies.

Please note this is a 12 months FTC.

The role requires 2 days in the office, and 3 hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Input and process monthly payroll for all employees, alongside the Payroll Advisor/Manager, in line with best practice
  • Assist with production and completion of month-end payroll journals and reporting for accounting purposes
  • Assist with year-end tasks: Final FPS & EPS, P60, P11D, PSA and Tax Award Scheme
  • Assist with reconciliation and payment of Tax and National Insurance in a timely and accurate manner, in line with Inland Revenue & statutory requirements
  • Deduct employee contributions and process payments to relevant bodies (e.g. Child Support Agency, Community Tax)
  • Provide information to Pension Administrators accurately, timely and efficiently
  • Provide full administrative support for the Private Healthcare Scheme, including notifying member services of starters/leavers and maintaining an accurate membership listing monthly
  • Assist with ensuring expenses are processed correctly (in line with HMRC guidelines) and paid/reported accurately
  • Support the Payroll Advisor/Manager and Senior Management with relevant payroll, pensions and healthcare information as required
  • Assist with continuous development of payroll systems
  • Maintain accurate records and carry out all duties efficiently and on time

  • Tax and NI compliance
  • Pensions administration (auto enrolment)

  • General: Microsoft Office, Internet
