We are looking for an experienced Payroll Assistant with a working knowledge of SAP to join our People & Culture team in Swindon on a 12 month fixed term contract. Whilst we do have the opportunity to work in a hybrid way, you will need to work in the office in Swindon 2 days a week.

In This Role You Will

  • To input and process monthly payroll for all MAN employees, alongside the Payroll Advisor/Manager, in line with best practice
  • Assist with the production and completion of month end payroll journals and reporting for accounting purposes
  • Assist the Payroll Advisor/Manager in the production and completion of all year-end tasks, i.e: Final FPS & EPS, P60, P11D, PSA and Tax Award Scheme
  • Assist with the reconciliation and payment of all Tax and National Insurance in a timely and accurate manner, in line with Inland Revenue & Statutory requirements
  • Deduction of employee contributions, and payment to relevant bodies, i.e.: Child Support Agency, Community Tax etc.
  • Provide information to Pension Administrators in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
  • Provide full administrative service for Private Healthcare Scheme, i.e. notifying member services of Starters / Leaver and maintaining an accurate membership listing on a monthly basis
  • Assist the Payroll Advisor/Manager in ensuring that expenses are processed correctly (in line with HMRC guidelines) and are paid and reported correctly
