Description
Join as a Payroll Assistant and play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of monthly payroll. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, working 4 days a week, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Working within a small, collaborative team, this role offers the opportunity to provide payroll administration, reporting, and employee support while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and firm policies.
The Role
This position will support the day-to-day payroll function, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Process starters, leavers, and monthly payroll changes using ADP/NGUX.
- Manage overtime, benefits, pension changes, and statutory payments.
- Respond to employee payroll queries and provide excellent customer service.
- Support HMRC/PAYE processing and end-of-month reporting.
- Assist with ad hoc payroll and administrative tasks as required.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous payroll administration experience is essential.
- Proven experience using ADP/NGUX payroll software is essential.
- Good understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and National Insurance.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience within professional services and/or a CIPP qualification is desirable.
