Payroll Assistant
Michael Page are actively working with a long standing client who are searching for a Payroll Assistant to join their team in Leeds City Centre on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a motivated, driven individual that wants to grab this opportunity to learn the payroll function in a fast paced environment. This is a perfect opportunity for a junior payroll professional, or junior Accounts Payable/ Accounts Assistant wanting to get a taste of the payroll function. My client is well known player in their industry, known for their positive working culture and top quality employee training.
Description
- Process weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Processing ever changing time sheets for weekly employees.
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with payroll reporting and audits as required.
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance team on payroll-related tasks.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll processes.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation.

Profile
A Successful Payroll Assistant Should Have
- Junior experience in a similar Payroll Assistant, Accounts Payable or Accounts position.
- Loves working in a fast paced working environment.
- Motivated, driven and eager to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar software.

Job Offer
- Salary between £28,000 - £30,000 Depending on Experience.
- Hybrid working after probation (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).
- Study Support opportunity for CIPP.
- Clear progression pathways.
