Job Description Summary
Focus Business Management partner firm, GRF, is seeking a Payroll Assistant Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Payroll Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed payroll records on behalf of our clients while working closely with our Account Managers and their teams. This position will be based in our London office on a full-time basis, with potential for hybrid working following a 4-month probation. The hybrid work arrangement may be adjusted or altered to fill the needs of the role, including potentially working in-office for 3+ days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and support internal and external audits related as such.
- Resolve issues relating to payroll production.
- Assisting with preparations of monthly payrolls for approximately 100 clients.
- Assisting with all year end PAYE requirements.
- Liaising with staff members to ensure timely provision of payroll information.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Experience in managing portfolio of client payrolls on weekly and monthly basis.
- Experience with payroll software. QuickBooks, Xero, BrightPay or PAYE Tools experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of and ability to understand new legislation impacting payroll.
- Good working knowledge of Auto Enrolment with different pension providers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
