Payroll Assistant

Permanent - full time but reduced hours available

Swansea

Paying in the region of £30K.... depending on experience

Are you looking to build a long-term payroll career within a supportive, experienced team?

A well-established organisation in Swansea are seeking a committed and detail-focused Payroll Assistant to join their busy weekly payroll function. This is a permanent role, offering excellent development for someone who wants to grow their skills and take on increasing responsibility over time.

The Role

  • Working closely with an experienced team, you will support the accurate processing of the weekly payroll.
  • Maintain time and attendance records.
  • Manage new starters and leavers.
  • Handle employee queries with professionalism and care.
  • Assist with absence and holiday recording.
  • Assist with payroll administration.

Who We're Looking For

This position is ideal for someone with some experience in payroll who is keen to develop further. You'll be:

  • Detail-oriented
  • Organised
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills, good numeracy, and confidence with Excel and payroll/HR systems are essential. Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys learning, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a structured, process-driven setting.
