Payroll Associate
£28,000 – £35,000 DOE | Hybrid Working | Flexible Hours | Excellent Progression
In this role, you'll manage the end-to-end processing of payrolls for a portfolio of clients, covering different pay frequencies while handling pensions, HMRC submissions and day-to-day client queries.

We're working with a fast-growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice that's looking for a Payroll Associate to join its Outsourcing team. You'll work closely with the Payroll Manager while taking responsibility for a portfolio of client payrolls, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to build their payroll career within practice.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual client payrolls
- Completing RTI submissions and other HMRC filings
- Managing starters, leavers, P45s and P60s
- Administering workplace pensions and auto-enrolment
- Completing payroll year-end procedures and reconciliations
- Acting as a point of contact for client payroll queries
- Keeping up to date with payroll and employment legislation
- Using modern cloud-based payroll software
- Helping improve payroll processes and efficiencies
About You

You'll ideally have some previous experience processing weekly and monthly payrolls, preferably within an accountancy practice, payroll bureau or other client-facing environment. You'll need a good understanding of payroll legislation and auto-enrolment, alongside strong attention to detail and good client communication skills. CIPP qualification and experience with Paycircle or similar software would be useful, but aren't essential.
