Our Financial Services client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join their growing HR function. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional with strong UK and EMEA experience to take ownership of multiple payrolls, support benefits administration across Europe, and contribute to key payroll transformation projects.

Reporting to the Payroll & Benefits Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll services across a European employee population. You will act as a key point of contact for payroll and benefits queries, manage relationships with external providers, support audit activities, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of UK and EMEA payrolls, covering approximately 1,300 employees across the UK, Ireland, Jersey, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Dubai.
  • Take ownership of the full payroll cycle, including data collection, validation, payroll processing, reconciliations, and statutory payments.
  • Partner closely with HR and HRIS teams to ensure payroll data is received accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing a professional and responsive service.
  • Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Process payrolled benefits and prepare P11Ds where required.
  • Calculate and process tax withholding on Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
  • Prepare payroll information and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Provide payroll support and cover for other team members when required.
  • Assist with payroll-related projects, including system implementations and process enhancements.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and payroll accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and internal governance requirements, escalating risks or issues where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
