Payroll & Benefits Manager

£50,000 pro rata
3 days per week (2 days office)

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys taking ownership of end-to-end payroll operations while also managing a comprehensive employee benefits programme.

Working as part of a small, collaborative HR team, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience, providing expert guidance on payroll and benefits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice.

Payroll Management

  • Manage and process the monthly payroll from start to finish.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records within the HRIS.
  • Reconcile payroll transactions within the general ledger.
  • Manage year-end payroll processes, including the preparation and submission of P60s and P11Ds.
  • Keep abreast of legislation, taxation requirements, and regulatory changes affecting payroll and benefits.

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee the administration of all employee benefits programmes.
  • Manage relationships with external benefit providers and third-party suppliers.
  • Support benefits renewals, communications, and employee queries.
  • Ensure benefits administration is delivered efficiently and accurately.

HR & Reward Support

  • Support annual salary and bonus review processes.
  • Assist with the administration and communication of LTIP and DBP awards.
  • Produce monthly and annual management information and reporting, including salary benchmarking and Gender Pay Gap reporting.
  • Partner with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a high-quality HR service.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines technical payroll expertise with outstanding organisational skills and a commitment to delivering a first-class service.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified payroll professional.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.

Desirable

  • Experience using Cezanne HRIS.
