Join a payroll team that makes a real difference!

At Cornerstone, we're committed to ensuring the people we support can live the life they choose. Behind every great support service is a dedicated team of professionals who help our organisation to operate effectively and efficiently.

We're looking for two new Payroll Business Partners to join our finance team. This is an opportunity for a senior payroll professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, using data to drive improvement and helping others build their knowledge and capability.

Working with our Payroll Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering an accurate, compliant and person-centred payroll service for approximately 1,800 colleagues.

These roles can be based in our Glasgow, Dundee or Aberdeen office, or part of our hybrid working model where a minimum of 2 days per week would be spent in one of these office locations.

About The Role

As one of our Payroll Business Partners, you'll be a senior point of contact for payroll queries and escalations. You'll help ensure that colleagues are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal deadlines.

You’ll work across Finance, HR and Operations to improve payroll processes, strengthen controls and provide useful insight through payroll and workforce data analysis.

We already know that great payroll is about much more than processing payslips. It’s about accuracy, compliance, problem-solving, good judgement and making sure people are paid correctly and on time.

As one of our Payroll Business Partners, you’ll be a senior point of contact for complex payroll queries and escalations, while working closely with our Payroll Lead and wider Finance, HR and Operations teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to analyse data, spot trends and risks, improve processes, strengthen controls and share your knowledge with others. You’ll also play an important role in coaching and developing colleagues, helping to build confidence and payroll knowledge across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
