About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our client’s team in the West Midlands area, specifically around Birmingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in high-volume payroll processing to contribute to a dynamic organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. You will play a vital role in maintaining payroll integrity and supporting employee satisfaction through efficient payroll services. The position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has hands-on experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in payroll processing within a high-volume environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation and regulations.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in payroll, finance, or accounting are advantageous.
- Candidates available at short notice will be preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the UK on a full-time basis without restrictions is required.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process payroll within agreed timescales, ensuring all employee payments are correct and timely.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage all payroll changes, including processing starters, leavers, salary adjustments, and other amendments.
- Respond promptly to payroll-related queries from employees, providing clear and accurate information.
- Assist with payroll reporting, including statutory reports, reconciliations, and audits.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently, escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity.
