About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our client’s team in the West Midlands, specifically around Birmingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in high-volume payroll processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in payroll delivery. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining employee satisfaction through precise payroll administration. The position requires proficiency in ERP systems and a thorough understanding of payroll legislation, making it ideal for someone looking to advance their career in payroll management.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in processing large-scale payrolls from start to finish.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current payroll legislation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar high-volume payroll environment is highly desirable.
- Candidates who are immediately available or available at short notice will be given preference.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process payroll within specified deadlines, ensuring all employee payments are correct and timely.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage all payroll changes, including processing new starters, leavers, and amendments to employee details.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and prompt resolutions.
- Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliation, and audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently, escalating issues when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant payroll legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
