About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our client’s team based in the West Midlands, specifically in the Birmingham area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in high-volume payroll processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital part in maintaining payroll integrity, handling employee queries, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in payroll processing within a large volume environment, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of payroll procedures. Responsibilities
- Accurately process payroll within established deadlines, ensuring timely salary payments to employees.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate employee payroll records, updating information as required.
- Manage all payroll changes, including new starters, leavers, and amendments to employee details.
- Handle payroll-related queries from staff efficiently, providing clear and accurate information.
- Assist with payroll reporting, including generating reports and reconciling payroll data.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll data accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure adherence to relevant payroll legislation and company policies at all times.
