About The Role
We're looking for a detail-focused and customer-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in payroll. You'll play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across the business, working closely with Payroll, HR Operations and employees to ensure payroll records are maintained correctly.

What You'll Be Doing
- Processing sickness and absence information in line with company policy and payroll deadlines
- Supporting the payroll team with the administration of weekly and monthly payrolls
- Managing payroll queries through our case management system and responding within agreed service levels
- Processing new starter information accurately and efficiently
- Working closely with HR Operations to ensure payroll records are up to date
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and documentation
- Supporting payroll reporting activities, including ONS and GAYE reporting
- Assisting with payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Strong customer service skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
Desirable
- Previous experience within payroll, HR, finance or administration
- General understanding of payroll processes and legislation
- Experience using payroll or case management systems
- CIPP Payroll Technician qualification or willingness to work towards one
