About IRIS

IRIS Software Group is one of the UK's largest privately held software companies, trusted by 100,000+ businesses, schools and accountancy firms to keep their operations running. Our software pays 1 in 6 UK employees, supports over 12,000 schools, and is relied on by 91 of the top 100 UK accountancy firms.

We're a Great Place to Work® certified employer, recognised for our commitment to well-being, inclusion and development - and we're growing fast.

At IRIS Software Group, we create software that helps businesses manage critical processes including payroll, HR, finance and compliance.

We’re looking for an Implementation Consultant with hands-on payroll experience to help customers successfully implement our SaaS solutions.

Payroll knowledge is essential for this role. You might have gained this through payroll processing, payroll software, payroll systems or payroll implementation. Alongside this, you’ll have experience implementing, configuring or supporting software and be comfortable working directly with customers.

You’ll take customers from understanding their requirements through to configuration, data migration, testing, training and go-live. It’s a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll solve problems, manage multiple pieces of work and build deeper expertise in payroll technology.

🧾 What Will You Be Doing?

As an Implementation Consultant, you will:

  • Manage payroll software implementations for new and existing customers
  • Understand customers’ payroll processes and requirements and translate these into the right software setup
  • Configure SaaS products, workflows and customer-specific requirements
  • Support payroll data migration, integrations and testing
  • Work with APIs, ETL processes and data transformation where required
  • Guide customers through user acceptance testing and readiness for go-live
  • Deliver training and explain software clearly to customers
  • Support customers during go-live and their transition into ongoing support
  • Manage multiple customer projects and priorities at the same time
  • Work with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success to resolve issues and deliver successful outcomes
  • Keep customers informed about progress, timelines, risks and issues
  • Travel to customer sites when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
