Payroll Consultant - 6 month contract - London - Hybrid - up to £600 per day

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a renowned retailer, who are seeking a Payroll Consultant on a 6 month contract basis. You will be processing end to end UK & Irish payroll, whilst assisting with the implementation of US payroll.

The Role

The Payroll Consultant will have the following skills:

  • Experience of processing end to end UK & Irish payroll
  • Support the delivery of a global payroll transformation programme across the US, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business objectives.
  • Lead payroll process reviews, driving standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and third party payroll providers to implement new payroll processes and operating models.
  • Coordinate payroll transition activities, including testing, parallel runs and go-live support.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with local legislative requirements across US jurisdictions.
  • Develop and maintain payroll controls, process documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and key internal stakeholders to support service excellence.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate must:

  • Minimum of 5 years' hands on payroll experience across the UK, Ireland, and the US regions.
  • Global payroll transformation exposure
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Be service driven, with a high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise in a busy environment
  • Experience of working within a large collaborative team
  • Analytically driven and responsible for creating innovative solutions to support the business
  • Excellent communication skills
