Payroll Assistant – Part Time, 4 Days per Week
£50,000 – £55,000 FTE | Permanent | London | Hybrid
We are working with a leading international law firm close to Liverpool Street who would like to meet an experienced Payroll Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis, working four days per week, Monday to Thursday. Hybrid: 2 days per week in the London office.
The role offers excellent flexibility, with only two days per week required in the London office. Working as part of a small, collaborative payroll team, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of the monthly payroll, with responsibility for a broad range of payroll activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing starters and leavers
- Managing monthly payroll changes and overtime
- Calculating sickness and statutory payments
- Processing benefits and pension changes
- Managing PAYE and HMRC payments
- Producing monthly and ad hoc reports
- Responding to employee payroll queries
- Supporting additional payroll activities as required within a small team

What they’re looking for:
Recent hands on experience using ADP is essential for this position. You should also have good practical payroll experience, including manual Tax and NI calculations, statutory payments and current HMRC regulations, alongside good Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
You do not need previous legal or professional services experience. The priority is someone with solid payroll knowledge and recent ADP experience who can quickly get up to speed.

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 - FTE
Working pattern: 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday
Hybrid: 2 days per week in the London office
Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm but will also consider 9am - 5pm or 9.30am - 5.30pm
