Payroll & HR Coordinator
Location: Bradford, BD4 6SE
Salary: Up to £38,000
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday | 4 days office-based, 1 day working from home

Are you an experienced Payroll & HR professional looking for your next opportunity within a friendly, close-knit HR team? We’re looking for a diligent, hardworking, and organised Payroll & HR Coordinator to join our client's team in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in getting things right first time, and is keen to develop their career across both payroll and HR.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, while also providing wider HR administration support across the employee lifecycle.

The Role
Working closely with HR, Finance, managers, and external payroll partners, you’ll take responsibility for a range of payroll and HR activities, including:

  • Managing and supporting the end-to-end payroll process for salaried and hourly employees.
  • Processing new starters, leavers, transfers, promotions, salary changes, and contractual amendments.
  • Checking overtime, shift premiums, bonuses, statutory payments, and deductions.
  • Reconciling payroll information and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for employee and manager payroll queries.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Supporting time and attendance processes, including overtime, absence, and shift information.
  • Preparing employment letters, contractual documentation, and payroll-related correspondence.
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Assisting with employee benefits administration.
  • Producing payroll reports and supporting HR reporting and data analysis.
  • Supporting payroll audits, compliance checks, and annual payroll processes.
  • Assisting with year-end activities, P60s, P11D/Benefits in Kind, pension reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
  • Helping to improve processes and maintain the accuracy and integrity of our HR and payroll systems.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, conscientious, and takes ownership of their work. You’ll be comfortable working with confidential information and have a genuine eye for detail.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a payroll-focused role, ideally with some wider HR administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation.
  • Hands-on experience using ADP payroll software – this is essential.
  • Experience working with HRIS and/or time and attendance systems.
  • Workday experience would be a real bonus.
  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to investigate issues, spot discrepancies, and find solutions.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to deal with employees and managers at all levels.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive, diligent, and hardworking approach.
  • Someone who is quick to learn, adaptable, and keen to develop their skills.

A CIPP qualification, or someone working towards one, would be advantageous, as would experience within a manufacturing or multi-population payroll environment.
