Payroll Manager - 3-6 month - London - up to £50,000 per annum
Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a charity, who are looking for a Payroll Manager, on a 3-6 month contract basis. The Payroll Manager will have sole responsibility of the UK end to end payroll, and benefits administration, for 650 employees. This role is full time, consisting of 2 days in their Central London office, with the possibility for a temp to perm option.
The Payroll Manager will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:
- Own the monthly UK payroll cycle end to end for 650 employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all employee changes, variable pay, deductions, benefits and pension contributions.
- Act as the key point of contact for employees and managers on payroll, pensions, benefits and reward-related queries, while overseeing relationships with external providers.
- Work closely with Finance, HR and the wider team on payroll reconciliations, month end processes, accruals, journals, year-end reporting and audit requirements.
- Provide day to day leadership and support to the payroll team, ensuring effective workload management, strong controls and continuous improvement of payroll processes.
- Support key payroll projects and the transition to a new payroll system, including data cleansing, migration, system configuration, testing, parallel runs and issue resolution.
- Work collaboratively with the project team, software provider, HR and Finance to ensure a smooth implementation and successful go live, providing post-implementation support and embedding the new processes.
