About Us
We are recruiting for an experienced payroll manager to join a growing restaurant business in Southwest London. This role requires you to be in the office 5 days a week but we assure you, you will be working with a fantastic team and entitled to some great perks!
Role Requirements
Hospitality or Retail experience required
Responsibilities
- Managing the end-to-end payroll process using Fourth Hospitality
- Ensuring salaries, hourly pay, bonuses, and deductions are processed accurately every time
- Liaising with the Troncmaster to administer TRONC through payroll
- Managing payroll deadlines, approvals, and payment runs without anything slipping
- Supporting the numbers
- Preparing and posting payroll journals, including accruals for gross payroll, employer NIC, and pensions
- Reconciling net pay control accounts to BACS runs and investigating any variances
- Sense-checking PAYE and NIC liabilities against RTI submissions
- Supporting the Finance team with P&L payroll reporting and balance sheet reconciliations during month-end
- Keeping things compliant
- Ensuring payroll complies with UK legislation (PAYE, NIC, pensions, and statutory payments)
- Managing HMRC submissions and ensuring payments are made on time
- Owning year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation

- Experience running end-to-end payroll
- Experience with Fourth Hospitality (or a similar payroll system)
- A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NIC, RTI)
- Confidence handling the accounting side of payroll (journal posting, accruals, control accounts, P&L reporting)
- A high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Experience in hospitality or multi-site businesses
- Knowledge of TRONC or service charge administration
- A payroll qualification (CIPP or similar)
