This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing practice with a large and successful payroll department. You will oversee the delivery of payroll services to a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, while managing and developing a team of payroll professionals.

The position would suit an experienced Payroll Manager or Payroll Supervisor who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will play an important role in the continued growth and development of the department, with plenty of scope to influence processes, support the team and contribute to the wider success of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring they are processed accurately and on time.
  • Oversee, support and develop members of the payroll team, reviewing their work and providing guidance where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and responding to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and manage all associated reporting and submissions.
  • Oversee workplace pension and auto enrolment requirements, including assessments and submissions.
  • Support the development of efficient systems and processes across the department.
  • Work closely with the partners and senior management team to support the continued growth of the payroll service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
