Summary
This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority, offering an umbrella pay rate of £31.13 per hour. The primary objective of this role is to lead and support the delivery of a precise and high-quality payroll service amidst organisational change and system transformation. The position is crucial for maintaining regular operations while aiding the transition from SAP to Oracle Fusion (Redwood). This role ensures the payroll system is future-ready and continuously improved.

- Oversee the accurate and timely execution of comprehensive payroll services.
- Ensure adherence to payroll legislation, policies, and internal controls.
- Provide exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the transition from SAP to Oracle Fusion (Redwood).
- Participate in system testing, data validation, and implementation activities.
- Optimize payroll processes to align with the new system.
Requirements
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience in managing payroll within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver comprehensive payroll services.
- Experience in supporting payroll system implementations or significant upgrades.
- Proven track record in delivering service improvements and managing change.

Essential Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Payroll, HR, Finance, or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week.
- Location: County Hall, Chichester, PO19 1RQ.
- Hybrid work model combining home and office.
- Contract end date: 29/01/2027.
- Bi-weekly work schedule.
