Payroll Manager EMEA / London / £70,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

Robert Half are partnering with a leading, fast-growing beauty and cosmetics brand based in London. Known for its innovation and inclusive culture, this is a highly successful business in the makeup and skincare industry, recognised across numerous awards.

To support their continued growth, they are now looking for a highly skilled and proactive Payroll Manager to oversee their UK and EMEA payroll functions.

📊 Role

Reporting into the Global Payroll Director, the Payroll Manager will be heavily involved in defining the roadmap for the UK & EMEA region solidifying payroll & compliance, improvements to payroll processes and driving change leading to improved efficiencies.

Key duties include:

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations across the UK and Germany, with scope to support future EMEA expansion
  • Act as the subject matter expert for payroll legislation, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements across the region
  • Design and enhance payroll processes, controls, and operating frameworks to support business growth
  • Lead payroll systems, integrations, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Develop reporting, KPIs, and governance frameworks to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Manage payroll projects, supplier relationships, and system implementations across the region
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, external vendors, and offshore payroll teams to ensure seamless payroll delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement by strengthening controls, resolving complex payroll issues, and enhancing the employee experience

📋 Profile

The ideal profile for this Payroll Manager EMEA position, should have the following:

  • 6+ years' payroll experience, including at least 3-4 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of UK and multi-country EMEA payroll legislation and compliance
  • Ideally practical payroll experience covering Germany
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving processes
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and reporting tools (e.g. ADP, SAP)
  • Proven track record of improving payroll processes, controls, and system performance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex payroll data and compliance requirements
  • Confident working with global teams and managing stakeholders across multiple time zones
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • CIPP qualification desirable

£70,000 - £80,000 + additional benefits including:
