This is a part-time role, working 29.6 hours per week, on a Maternity Cover basis.
Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at our Knightstone campus in Weston-super-Mare.
Reporting to the Head of Payroll and Pensions, the role has responsibility for the provision of an accurate, timely and efficient payroll service to the college group and to ensure that the college is compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements in relation to payroll, taxation, pensions and national insurance. Responsibilities will vary but will include processing of the monthly payroll for all college staff and subsidiary companies.

Duties of this role include:
- End to end processing of company payrolls (weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly).
- Updating and maintaining payroll records.
- Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries.
- Calculation of SMP, OMP, SSP and OSP payments.
- Timely RTI submissions including FPS submission.
Required skills and qualifications
- A recognised payroll qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a Payroll environment.
- A thorough understanding of payroll and pension processing.
- Ability to organise self and prioritise workloads.
It would be beneficial to have experience of working in an educational environment or working with the iTrent system, but neither of these are required for the role.
