Payroll Implementation/ Integration Specialist – L2

Locations: Newcastle | Manchester | Belfast | Glasgow | Leeds

UK Payroll | Implementation | Integration | Data | Technology | Transformation

Our client is a globally recognized professional services organization with a market-leading Payroll Operate team, supporting major organizations with complex UK and international payroll. They are expanding their team and are looking for Payroll Implementation & Integration Specialists to support clients across payroll implementation, migration, data, and technology projects.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role, ideal for someone with practical UK payroll and implementation experience who wants to develop further across payroll technology, integration, and transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support end-to-end payroll implementation projects from requirements gathering through to go-live
  • Work directly with clients to understand their payroll, business, system, and data requirements
  • Support payroll system set-up and configuration based on client requirements
  • Assist with data migration, mapping, validation, and reconciliation
  • Support UAT, testing, parallel runs, and go-live readiness
  • Identify gaps between existing client processes and the new payroll solution
  • Work with implementation, payroll, technology, and data teams to resolve issues
  • Support payroll integration and ETL activities where required
  • Investigate and troubleshoot payroll data and integration issues
  • Maintain project plans, actions, risks, and dependencies
  • Communicate with clients throughout the implementation and provide updates on progress
  • Support the transition from implementation into BAU
  • Support the implementation of large and complex payrolls

What Client is Looking For

We are open to candidates with either a strong UK payroll implementation background or experience across payroll data, integration, and technology.

UK Payroll & Implementation

  • Practical experience within UK payroll
  • Experience supporting payroll implementations, migrations, transitions, or system projects
  • Good understanding of UK payroll processes and legislation, including RTI and Auto Enrolment
  • Experience gathering requirements and understanding client payroll needs
  • Experience with data migration, testing, parallel runs, and go-live
  • Good understanding of payroll data and end-to-end payroll processes
  • Experience with iTrent would be highly beneficial
  • Experience with systems such as Workday, Dayforce, SAP, or Oracle is also relevant
  • Manual payroll experience is welcomed

Payroll Integration & Data

  • Experience with payroll data integration or ETL processes
  • Understanding of how data moves between payroll, HR, and other business systems
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, validation, or reconciliation
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience identifying data gaps, inconsistencies, and integration issues
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, .NET, Alteryx, or Power Platform would be beneficial
  • Experience working with data from systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or SuccessFactors is relevant
