About the opportunity

As a Payroll Onboarding Consultant within Dayforce Managed Services, you’ll help customers successfully transition to our Managed Services offering, guiding them through testing, parallel payroll runs, and operational readiness ahead of go-live.

This isn’t a payroll configuration role. Instead, you’ll use your payroll expertise to support customers through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel testing, troubleshoot discrepancies, and help ensure they’re ready to transition into Managed Services.

It’s also a highly client-facing role. You’ll spend significant time leading customer meetings and working sessions, presenting information and recommendations, and helping customers understand Dayforce Managed Services standards and best practices. You’ll need to communicate confidently with stakeholders at different levels, challenge constructively when needed, and keep customers moving towards a successful go-live.

What you'll get to do

  • Guide customers through onboarding – support customers through UAT, parallel payroll testing, readiness activities, and their transition into Managed Services.
  • Lead customer conversations – facilitate testing workshops, working sessions, and readiness reviews, communicating confidently with stakeholders across Payroll, HR, Benefits, Technology, and project teams.
  • Own key testing activities – develop and execute customer-specific UAT test scenarios, review results, and coordinate failed tests and discrepancies through to resolution.
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues – use your payroll knowledge and analytical skills to research and investigate discrepancies arising during testing and parallel runs.
  • Provide clear recommendations and updates – communicate testing outcomes, project status, risks, dependencies, and required actions to customers and internal teams.
  • Champion Managed Services best practices – explain standard processes, timelines, roles, and responsibilities, and constructively challenge requests where they fall outside agreed standards.
  • Support operational readiness – apply your understanding of payroll calculations, employee changes, audits, payroll validation, and commit activities to help ensure customers are ready for go-live.
  • Manage multiple customer onboardings – take ownership of your deliverables across multiple clients, with the number of customers varying depending on their size and complexity.
  • Partner with Managed Operations – complete a structured knowledge transfer so customer-specific processes, responsibilities, exceptions, and outstanding actions are understood ahead of transition.
  • Identify and escalate risks – work across customer and Dayforce teams to resolve blockers, configuration issues, and process gaps, and maintain progress towards go-live.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
