Payroll Partner (Interim)
Location: Primarily Mayfair, with some presence in Notting Hill (4 days onsite)
Contract: 3-month Interim
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Up to £55,000 FTE (pro-rata for the contract term)
We are partnering with a well-established, high-end hospitality group operating premium venues in central London. They are seeking an experienced, hands-on Payroll Partner on a three-month fixed-term basis.
This is a dual-focused role: full operational ownership of the monthly payroll cycle across two sites, combined with a clear project element to bring structure, documentation, and improved controls to the existing processes.
About the Role
You will take end-to-end ownership of payroll for approximately 350 employees across the group's two flagship venues. Working closely with Finance and People & Culture, you will ensure accurate, on-time payments every month while reviewing current processes, tightening controls and data quality, and creating clear SOPs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
