Pay & Pensions Coordinator
π Central London with Hybrid Working
β³ 2-3-Month Temporary Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pay & Pensions Coordinator to join a busy Payroll/HR team on a 3-month temporary basis. This role will support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll, pensions, and HR administration services, ensuring employees are paid correctly and statutory obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities
- β Support the end-to-end monthly payroll process, including payroll input, validation, and checking
- β Process starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime, allowances, and deductions
- β Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, month-end activities, BACS processing, and costing interfaces
- β Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, and HMRC requirements
- β Administer occupational pension schemes, including auto-enrolment, opt-ins/outs, contribution reporting, and pension reconciliations
- β Act as a key contact for employee payroll and pensions queries, providing a professional and timely service
- β Support HR administration processes across the employee lifecycle
- β Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance within HR and payroll systems
- β Produce payroll, pension, and management information reports as required
- β Work closely with HRIS teams to support system maintenance and data integrity

About You
- β Previous payroll experience within a high-volume in-house payroll environment
- β Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, and pension regulations
- β Experience administering workplace pension schemes and auto-enrolment processes
- β Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- β Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across HR, Finance, and external providers
- β Experience using HR and payroll systems, with iTrent experience highly desirable
- β Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines
