Our Toxicology Business, part of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, is currently recruiting for a Payroll Processing and Administrative Assistant. The role would be based in our Abingdon office 5 days a week.

This Administrator role is a key administrative position responsible for supporting the UK Collection Network and ensuring the efficient delivery of field services. This role focuses on accurate payroll admin processing, system maintenance, and comprehensive administrative coordination to maintain operational excellence and compliance. The successful candidate will play an integral part in onboarding, data accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives within the collection network.

What you’ll do

  • Process payroll administration for collecting officers and partners, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Maintain and update Field Service Management (FSM) systems and user records.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in data, including managing call-out information.
  • Coordinate with field staff and Regional Team Leaders to ensure compliance with operational processes.
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, reporting, and record-keeping, dealing with queries and liaising with members of the Network collectors.
  • Assist with onboarding and documentation for new collecting officers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance collection network operations and data accuracy.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with agility and ownership.
  • Experience in payroll processing or finance administration is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with FSM systems is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a customer service mindset.
  • Excellent administrative and communications skills.
