Your new company

Hays client, a global professional services organisation based in Belfast city centre, requires a Project payroll executive to join their global outsourcing team. However, whilst payroll experience is not essential, it would be helpful.

The primary responsibility of the role

  • Support the team in managing the day-to-day project delivery for high-profile multinational clients
  • Liaise with international offices, client(s), in-house team of payroll project managers, seniors, project executives and portal administrators

Your new role

  • Monitor project deliverables on a daily basis ensuring all tasks are completed on time
  • Review issue logs on a weekly basis and discuss with relevant Project Manager
  • Escalating in a timely manner
  • Control and monitor tickets via the appropriate system
  • Setting up Teams conference calls
  • Preparation of monthly reports SLA's/Metrics
  • Recording task and time accurately on appropriate timesheet system
  • Support other team members in following tasks:
    • Build and maintain client's documentation
    • Support setup of client payrolls
    • Support with preparation of payroll calendars/deadline timetables on an annual basis
    • Other general administrative tasks
    • Control project calls
    • Maintain and update issue logs

What you'll need to succeed

This role is a non-technical role and you are not required to have specific accounting or payroll qualifications.

Essential Criteria:

  • Graduate or equivalent qualification, or payroll foundation experience
  • 1-year project management experience, preferably in a financial services firm or similar environment
  • Excellent project planning skills
  • Attention to detail is a key part of the role
  • Efficient & deadline driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience of accurate minute taking
  • Proactive and forward-thinking
  • Ability to multitask between projects
  • Full control of calendar and associated tasks with multiple deadlines

Desired Skills and Experience

Project payroll executive - no payroll experience required. Project experience desirable, AML, KYC experience welcomed. Good multitasking skills with attention to detail and experience using the full Microsoft applications suite including excel and Microsoft outlook
