Payroll & Reward Analyst
Location
York (Hybrid - Minimum 2 Days Per Week in the Office)
Salary
Up to £40,000 (potentially some flex) + Discretionary Bonus & Benefits

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for an opportunity to make an immediate impact?
We're seeking a Payroll & Reward Analyst to join a busy HR Operations team, acting as the go-to expert for payroll, reward and benefits queries across the UK & Ireland. You'll work closely with stakeholders, external providers and specialist teams to deliver an accurate, compliant and seamless employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for Payroll & Reward, supporting complex queries and escalations.
- Ensure payroll, reward and benefits processes are delivered accurately and compliantly.
- Manage relationships with payroll providers and key stakeholders.
- Partner with Tax, Legal, Pensions and Benefits teams to support end-to-end processes.
- Monitor legislative changes and support implementation of updates.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Support HR projects and wider business change programmes.
- Share knowledge and best practice across the team.

About You
You'll have:
- Payroll experience within a medium-to-large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience handling complex payroll issues and stakeholder queries.
- Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and change.

Desirable
- Experience across both Payroll and Reward.
- SAP Payroll knowledge.
- Project or change management experience.
- CIPP qualification (or working towards).
