Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Payroll SME / Payroll Business Analyst to support the implementation of a new payroll solution across multiple European countries.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong European payroll implementation experience who can work closely with local Payroll and HR stakeholders, translate country-specific requirements into a standardised solution, and support the project through workshops.

The initial programme will focus on a number of European countries, with the potential to expand into further regions as the programme progresses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Payroll SME and Business Analyst across the European payroll implementation programme.
  • Work closely with local Payroll, HR and country stakeholders to understand current processes, requirements and country-specific payroll considerations.
  • Facilitate and participate in process mapping exercises, documenting current-state and future-state payroll processes.
  • Gather, analyse and document business and payroll requirements.
  • Support local country teams in completing payroll implementation templates and documentation.
  • Translate local payroll requirements into clear, standardised business requirements for the implementation team.
  • Facilitate and participate in workshops and working sessions with Payroll, HR and project stakeholders.
  • Support the project through configuration, testing, defect resolution and validation.
  • Review and challenge proposed payroll processes and configurations to ensure they meet business and local-country requirements.
  • Prepare clear meeting notes, actions, decisions, process documentation and project summaries.
  • Identify gaps, risks, dependencies and country-specific complexities and ensure these are appropriately captured and managed.
  • Act as a bridge between local payroll teams and the central project/implementation team.
  • Provide payroll expertise and practical guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
