About the Company

Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, compliantly, and within agreed deadlines through a combination of in-house and outsourced payroll operations.

About the Role

Liaise with external payroll providers, supplying accurate payroll data and resolving payroll queries throughout the payroll cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate statutory payments, deductions, pro-rata salaries, variable pay, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Review and validate payroll inputs, reports, and calculations to ensure accuracy prior to payroll approval.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and sign-off documentation for management approval.
  • Administer the payroll inbox, responding to employee and stakeholder queries within agreed service level agreements.
  • Prepare and submit pension contribution schedules to third-party pension providers.
  • Process ad hoc payroll payments, including salary advances, manual payments, and off-cycle payrolls.
  • Prepare third-party payment schedules for statutory bodies and external organisations, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Reconcile employee benefit schemes and salary sacrifice arrangements, including loans and other payroll deductions.
  • Produce payroll reports, reconciliations, and management information to support business and finance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies, procedures, and current payroll legislation.
  • Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, data migration, process improvements, and reporting enhancements.
  • Contribute to payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and service delivery.
