Payroll Specialist Opportunity

We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a fantastic business in North Bristol who offer a flexible hybrid working approach. This is a role where your payroll expertise really matters as you’ll be responsible for making sure UK and overseas colleagues are paid accurately and on time whilst also helping to continually improve the way payroll works behind the scenes.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Running accurate and timely monthly payroll from start to finish.
  • Managing payroll changes including starters, leavers, promotions, bonuses, deductions, and statutory payments.
  • Preparing and checking payroll reports, reconciliations, and payments.
  • Ensuring PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and other statutory requirements are handled correctly.
  • Responding to payroll queries with professionalism, clarity, and a genuinely helpful approach.
  • Working closely with HR, Finance, and other teams to keep employee information accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting year-end activities, including P11Ds and P60s.
  • Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and controls.
