Your new company
A growing national organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its payroll team on a 3-month fixed-term basis. This role has been created to support the Payroll Manager during a period of business change, system improvements, and process review. Working within a busy payroll function responsible for approximately 1,400 employees, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll continues to run smoothly while helping to drive improvements across the department.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working in a payroll position.
- Sound understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory payments.
- Experience using Sage payroll or a similar payroll system.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work accurately within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
- Experience supporting payroll projects or process improvements would be advantageous.
