Your new role

As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services for both monthly salaried and hourly paid employees. Working closely with key stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure payroll operations run smoothly while supporting ongoing process improvements and change initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the outsourced provider to deliver accurate payroll on a monthly basis for monthly and hourly paid payrolls
  • Managing starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime and absence data
  • Ensuring payroll compliance with current HMRC legislation
  • Reconciling payroll reports and supporting month-end activities
  • Resolving payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Supporting payroll process improvements during a period of business change
  • Liaising with HR, Finance and operational teams to maintain payroll accuracy

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience processing both salaried and hourly paid payrolls
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and payroll best practice
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a changing environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and positive approach with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes
  • Proven end-to-end payroll experience
