The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably within a multi-country European context. A strong proficiency in MS Office applications and a demonstrated aptitude for learning new payroll systems are essential. Fluency in English is required, and additional European language skills are highly desirable. The candidate should exhibit high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent time management skills. A professional attitude, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently are critical for success in this role. Relevant certifications or training in payroll management or HR administration will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage End-to-End Payroll: Process multiple monthly European payrolls utilizing third-party providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead Country Operations: Own specific country payrolls based on expertise, including managing all critical year-end activities and compliance requirements.
- Audit Commissions: Independently review complex commission reports, resolve employee queries efficiently, and ensure data integrity.
- Handle Benefits & Expenses: Accurately differentiate, track, and process employee benefits and expenses through payroll systems.
- Partner Internationally: Collaborate with Treasury for payroll funding, Finance for journal reconciliations, and internal teams to coordinate variables affecting payroll processing.
- Drive Reporting & Audits: Deliver comprehensive monthly payroll reports and support mid-year and year-end external finance audits with meticulous preparation.
- Cross-Train & Grow: Participate in ongoing cross-training initiatives across all European payrolls to enhance operational resilience and team versatility.
