About The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our UK payroll team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a reputable financial services institution known for its excellence and sector leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing UK payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting payroll activities across multiple EMEA countries. This position requires a proactive individual with strong payroll knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications
- Solid background in UK payroll processing, with proven experience in managing payroll operations accurately and efficiently.
- Relevant qualification in payroll, HR, or finance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of statutory deductions, HMRC submissions, and payroll legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with multi-country payrolls in the EMEA region is advantageous but not mandatory, as training and support will be provided.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications required.
Responsibilities
- Processing the UK payroll accurately, ensuring all statutory deductions, tax codes, and HMRC submissions are correctly handled.
- Supporting the coordination and management of payroll activities across several EMEA countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Performing detailed payroll reconciliations to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Producing comprehensive payroll reports and analysis to support business decision-making and stakeholder needs.
- Managing employee benefits administration, including benefits renewals, employee enrolment, claims processing, and addressing related queries.
- Driving compliance initiatives within the payroll department to adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with internal tax teams and external advisors to resolve payroll taxation issues and ensure adherence to tax laws.
- Staying updated with changes in payroll legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to processes and systems.
