Anderson Knight is currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our key client, a globally recognised organisation. The successful candidate will support the Payroll Manager with the day-to-day management of the payroll function, while also playing a key role in improving processes and supporting the ongoing development of the team.

The business is currently going through a period of growth and change, making this a good opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to take the next step in their career. Previous leadership experience is not essential, but candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' payroll experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll on a fortnightly and monthly basis.
  • Manage day-to-day payroll activities and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies, procedures and current legislation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with Finance and other departments on payroll-related matters.
  • Carry out regular checks and analysis to ensure payroll data is accurate.
  • Review absence, leave and right-to-work information.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with the development of the payroll function and team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years' payroll experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build effective relationships across the business.
  • Leadership skills, or the ambition to develop these further.
